Who says you can't smoke a joint and drink a beer on the TV platform at the 1978 Summernationals on a Thursday afternoon during qualifying...

Bob went on tour with Paul Blevins for a while, shown here from Atco during the mid-70s...

Here's a shot from 1971 of (left to right) Bob, noted fuel tuner John Hogan and the late Vinnie Napp observing qualifying at the first NHRA Summernationals in 1971

Bob told his long time friend Chuck Etchells, (who always had Bob's Berserko Lounge on the back of his cars) that if he ever won a NHRA National event that he'd kiss him on the lips. Top photo is the result after "Chuckie" won the 1990 NHRA Summernationals over Johnny West.

After that win Bob told Chuckie's Crew Chief Paul Smith that he was next for a kiss if Chuckie won again. Atco Dragway in the Fall of 1990 after winning the Fall Nationals Bob struck again...

For a while Bob was the on-camera guy for a lot of Main Event Videos' productions. Here's Bob interviewing Raymond Beadle before I believe his last time in a race car at the Texas Motorplex in 1990?

Bob can be a bad influence on everyone he meets. Here he feeds a Burro a Corona on the beach in Acapulco, Mexico.

You say you wanted to see a photo of Bob sitting naked on top of his Demo Derby car?

In April of 1971 at Raceway Park, Jungle lost his body in the lights and I ended up with the back half of the body. I kept it for a while then later auctioned it off to benefit Muscular Dystrophy, who through the 7-Eleven stores sponsored events at E'Town. Wish I had it now!

From 1986 until 1992 Bob worked for Mazda in the PR department hyping Mazda Motorsports' efforts in the US. Here's a shot of the last car campaigned by Mazda, the RX-7 92P powered by an experimental 4-rotor engine at Watkins Glen in the rain.

During the 70's Bob gave out the gag awards at the Annual NHRA Division One Awards banquets. Always looking to liven up the festivities he appeared as "Chris Econowacki"as a Gorilla hitting "Humble" Bob Donnelly the MC in the face with a pie (center) and as the internationally known drag racing expert Deerstalker Funman.
